Lighting is about so much more than its physical output. It’s the starting point to any room and the ultimate finishing touch. The perfect lamp can set the tone and soften the mood; elevate your art and, in the case of The Little Haus, can be a glorious work of art in itself.

Born and raised in London, Laura grew up with a keen interest in interiors and the art of great lighting, inspired by the bright colours and bold patterns she experienced in the homes she grew up in as a child.

Passionate about building homes, and more importantly lighting them, she’s a firm believer that a room is only complete when it’s full of wall lights and lamps adorned in eclectic shades. After moving to Cape Town in 2021 and realising there was a gap in the market for delightfully decorative lampshade designs, she launched The Little Haus – the first company of its kind in South Africa.
