Born and raised in London, Laura grew up with a keen interest in interiors and the art of great lighting, inspired by the bright colours and bold patterns she experienced in the homes she grew up in as a child.

Passionate about building homes, and more importantly lighting them, she’s a firm believer that a room is only complete when it’s full of wall lights and lamps adorned in eclectic shades. After moving to Cape Town in 2021 and realising there was a gap in the market for delightfully decorative lampshade designs, she launched The Little Haus – the first company of its kind in South Africa.
